THE BALL AT THE WORLD’S LARGEST COFFEE HOUSE!
We Viennese coffee brewers are delighted to welcome our guests to the Vienna Coffee Brewers’ Ball 2025 at the Hofburg Vienna. Once again, the Hofburg will become the largest and most beautiful coffee house in the world, where tradition and modernity merge and Viennese coffee house culture is celebrated in all its diversity.
With the motto “Walzer-Schani – Spring Coffee” we honor Johann Strauss son on the occasion of his 200th birthday and at the same time awaken the magic of spring, which unfolds in the Schanigarten. The open-air coffee house stands for joy and lightness. It is the place where the melodies of the Waltz King welcome the breath of spring in the fading winter and whisk guests away into an atmosphere full of joie de vivre and light-heartedness.
The Viennese Coffe Brewers Ball has always been unique due to its high-quality artistic design and elaborate decorations, its brilliant program and an enormous musical range with numerous orchestras and bands in all the halls of the Hofburg Vienna. This year’s event is all about the arrival of spring: colorful floral arrangements adorn the halls of the Hofburg and symbolize the awakening of nature – a backdrop full of magic. Under the artistic direction of Christof Cremer, a large number of Austrian and international singers, dancers, choreographers, musicians and artists will turn the ball into an extraordinary sensual experience for all guests – in the service of Viennese coffee house culture.
We Viennese coffee brewers invite our guests to enjoy spring in the Hofburg and in the coffee house with the waltzes of Johann Strauss.
“Let’s look forward to an unforgettable ball night together!”

Midnight interlude
Johann Strauss Special from 00 o’clock in the ballroom
KIRILL KOBANTSCHENKO, PLATTFORM K+K VIENNA and
ANDREJA ZIDARIC
A unique fusion of classical music and modern beats.
For the midnight performance, the principal violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic, Kirill Kobanchenko, and the K+K Vienna platform, together with soprano Andreja Zidaric, reinterpreted the musical legacy of Johann Strauss – a unique fusion of classical music, coloratura, humor and modern beats.
Kirill Kobanchenko, principal violinist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, and his colleagues from the K+K Vienna platform have been invited by the Vienna Kaffeesiederball to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss’ birth by exploring the musical legacy of the Waltz King and reflecting on his gigantic musical oeuvre. Together with soprano Andreja Zidaric, they reinterpret the musical legacy of Johann Strauss – a unique fusion of classical music and modern beats. The ensemble has embarked on a loving musical journey of discovery into the legacy of Johann Strauss in order to adapt his music to today’s modern zeitgeist of entertainment and dance culture with the utmost respect, or as one would say today, to remix it. Johann Strauss – who was he from today’s perspective? King of the dance floor, or, to use today’s language: King of the dance floor? A DJ of his time perhaps?
Andreja Zidaric, lyric coloratura soprano: The Slovenian-born soprano shuttles with great ease between musical theater genres, whether opera, operetta or musical, she is at home everywhere. Celebrated by critics and audiences alike for her luminous soprano, her radiant high notes and wonderful charisma, she is regarded as the operetta diva par excellence.

In addition to his intensive orchestral activities, he also devotes himself to chamber music. In 2009, he founded the K+K Vienna platform and has been its artistic director ever since.

Late Night Concert – ALLE ACHTUNG
from 02 o’clock in the ballroom
Energetic, positive and rousing, that’s Alle Achtung!
The late night concert in the Festsaal has already become a popular tradition. This year, the band Alle Achtung! created an exuberant atmosphere. Known for their energetic and rousing hits, they got the audience shaking with an early morning intermezzo between waltzes and the 2nd quadrille. “With Alle Achtung! we have once again proven that our ball is a center of joie de vivre and enthusiasm, ” said Anna Karnitscher and KR Wolfgang Binder.
“I just want you to dance to this song…”
Founded in 2014, the band from Thal in Styria has proven that it makes sense to believe in yourself and to persevere. After two albums, they created a classic in Austrian music history with the song “Marie”. This marked the beginning of their rise to become a fixture in the Austrian music scene. The fact that they write, record and produce their songs themselves in their own studio is only a side note. But the band’s true passion is the stage. A concert is an intense experience and they have already filled the main stages at the Nova Rock Festival and the Donauinselfest. “I just want you to be happy” is more than just a line in their song “Marie”. It is the motto with which they take to the stage. Concertgoers should be happier after a concert than before.

Mala Kolumna, an Austrian photographer and creative director, immerses herself completely in the world of her clients in her work. Her approach is to understand the artists, to be able to pick up on their stories and to create a parallel between their art and hers. She is constantly looking for the unseen and likes to play with abstraction in her work, with motifs that raise questions and arouse curiosity in the viewer. Mala attended photography classes at Middlesex Community College in Boston, MA in 2016. During this time, she realized that her true passion lay in capturing moments, collaborating with other creatives, and developing concepts around specific themes.
After moving to Austria in 2017, Mala immediately threw herself into freelance projects to develop her very own style. She made a conscious decision not to pursue a formal photography degree or other traditional certification paths, preferring to learn without rules and guidelines and with more uncertainty. This approach continues to shape her aesthetic: always searching for the unseen, continuous experimentation and a preference for abstract forms of photography. She assists an established photographer, Marko Mestrovic in Vienna and continues to build on the knowledge gained at the American University by constantly creating. Because she works best with teams that feel the same freedom and openness towards art, she still photographs mainly with other artists such as musicians, fashion designers, actors and other inspiring creators in the art scene. She not only lives it up at concerts for Bilderbuch, AURORA or on the European tour of the British musician SOHN, but also works on concept-oriented cover shoots, poster shoots, music videos and album shoots for the artists. Mala loves new challenges and does not limit herself to photography, but experiments with video, directs music videos or accompanies musicians like UCHE YARA for months to develop the visual language for the respective musicians together.
